KEITH FIELDS / THE AWD TUNING YEARS

Experience.
In the real world.

Six documented examples from Keith’s AWD Tuning background, spanning WRX, STI, BRZ and standalone engine management.

Every build starts with a different question.

The fuel, hardware and intended use shape the answer. These historical examples come from AWD Tuning’s social archive and an owner’s shared build account. Each summary links to the original photos or video and credits the source; they are not presented as new Calibrations LLC customer projects.

Reported results belong to the specific vehicle and setup. Future upgrades are identified as plans, and missing specifications or power figures are left unstated.

01 / PUMP-GAS TURBO SETUP

2019 Subaru STI — BCP turbo on 93 octane

Zach’s 2019 STI paired a BCP turbo with 93-octane fuel. AWD Tuning’s post describes a strong power band from a relatively simple package, with further stages still to come.

The tuning takeaway: A turbo package should suit the fuel you actually use and the response you want, as well as your longer-term plans.

02 / FUEL DELIVERY & DYNO PREPARATION

Subaru WRX — FP Green on E85

Chris’s WRX arrived with an FP Green turbo and an E85 setup. The pre-dyno inspection identified fuel-delivery issues. AWD Tuning reports resolving those issues before the car’s dyno runs.

The tuning takeaway: Fuel-system readiness comes before calibration. An inspection can identify hardware problems that a tune alone cannot solve.

03 / 388 WHP / 417 WTQ • REPORTED ON E70

2024 Subaru WRX “Cinderelli” — E70

AWD Tuning’s post documents Cinderelli’s 2024 WRX setup at 388 whp and 417 wtq on E70. It also records installation of an XClutch 240 mm single-plate clutch, connecting the car’s power level with its drivetrain requirements.

The tuning takeaway: A usable performance package considers the drivetrain alongside the engine calibration. These are the figures reported for this car, not a promised result for another build.

04 / NATURALLY ASPIRATED PLATFORM

2024 Subaru BRZ — headers and retuning

In a three-BRZ shop feature, AWD Tuning identifies the 2024 “BURZ” as having completed a header installation and retuning. The post distinguishes it from the other two BRZs pictured.

The tuning takeaway: Calibration work extends beyond turbocharged cars. Match the tuning approach to the exact vehicle and its installed hardware.

05 / HARDWARE DEVELOPMENT & CALIBRATION

Subaru STI — intercooler development and dyno tuning

In a customer post shared on AWD Tuning’s profile, @feistii_rach documents an R&D installation of PERRIN’s extra-large-core front-mount intercooler. With other modifications also planned, the car received a base map after installation and a dyno tune after the remaining changes were complete.

The tuning takeaway: Plan the calibration around the complete modification list. The owner specifically notes that the intercooler alone did not require a tune.

06 / STANDALONE ECU • DOCUMENTED PROJECT PLAN

2005 Subaru WRX — Haltech engine-management plan

AWD Tuning outlines a Haltech Elite 2500 package for Antonio’s 2005 WRX: a WB1 wideband controller, flex-fuel composition sensor, CAN hub and keypad. The post also names a Garrett G30-900 turbo and Kelford cams, and tags Keith in the tuning plans.

The tuning takeaway: This source documents the planned package, rather than a completed dyno result. It shows the engine-management decisions behind a build intended to accommodate both 93 octane and E85.
