KEITH’S AWD TUNING ARCHIVE / 2016 SUBARU WRX
Chris’s WRX combines an IAG shortblock, Kelford cams and extensive supporting upgrades. Follow the FA20DIT build through its 2025 and 2026 dyno sessions.
Historical work from my time at AWD Tuning. Each result belongs to this car’s combination and test conditions.
THE BUILD / IAG SHORTBLOCK & KELFORD CAMS
The tune brings the engine, turbo and fuel system together. With a built FA20, the shortblock and cams are only part of the specification I need to plan the calibration.
If you are planning a similar WRX, send the exact shortblock, camshaft and turbo specifications along with your fuel-system details and tuning device. Those details help me choose the right approach for your goals.
The records cover different stages of the project; they do not identify the installation date of each component.
ORIGINAL MUSTANG DYNO RECORDS
The individual May 28, 2026 run summaries are labelled 93 octane and E70 in the archive.
351.3 hp · 327.0 lb-ft
Run time 5:38:19 p.m. Power peaks at 6,098 rpm; torque peaks at 5,180 rpm.
431.8 hp · 382.0 lb-ft
Run time 6:33:31 p.m. Power peaks at 6,472 rpm; torque peaks at 5,504 rpm.
The weather-corrected figures in these two individual summaries match the reported figures above. These are separate pulls, not a controlled fuel-only comparison or a promise of output for another WRX.

The earlier E80-labelled individual summary records 389.0 hp and 368.4 lb-ft before weather correction, or 398.7 hp and 377.6 lb-ft with the report’s weather correction. This is a separate development session, one year before the 2026 records.
Figures follow the archive’s hp and lb-ft labels. Dyno settings, correction, fuel and the car’s configuration matter; comparing peak numbers alone does not isolate the effect of an upgrade.
