For Orange County owners who want direct access to the person calibrating their car. I bring more than 20 years of tuning experience to supported modern Porsche and Subaru applications, alongside vintage Porsche and standalone ECU projects.
In-person road tuning is available in Orange County by arrangement. We review the car and coordinate the session in advance; plan to leave the vehicle with me for the day. Remote tuning and arranged dyno sessions are also available where appropriate.
Road tuning gives me time with the car to evaluate response, transient throttle behavior and how power comes in during real driving. The session is coordinated around your vehicle, its condition and the work we agree to complete.
Send the setup first. Include your city, exact vehicle, ECU or tuning device, modifications, fuel, goals and any known issues.
Agree on the day. We confirm scope, price, meeting or vehicle handover arrangements and testing requirements before you book.
Plan to leave the car for the day. Arrange your own transportation. I confirm expected handover and collection times with you; the appointment is not a while-you-wait tune.
Arrive ready. Complete the vehicle preparation checklist and bring the agreed fuel and equipment. Mechanical faults can change the session plan.
Road evaluation is kept within legal speeds and suitable conditions. Testing that needs higher loads or speeds is planned for a dyno or appropriate controlled facility.
Custom calibration for supported factory-ECU applications. Send your model year, trim, transmission, market, Accessport details and installed parts so I can confirm the available route.
My archive includes COBB-tuned 911 and Macan examples. The work considers response, useful power delivery and the way you use the car.
My experience includes 964-based 4.0-liter engines, Kinsler throttle systems and calibration work involving MaxxECU, Emtron Shadow and MoTeC.
Restorations and recreations need an approach matched to the engine, induction, sensors and intended use. I can coordinate with your engine builder or workshop.
Read the dated Porsche dyno results, including a 2014 911 Turbo S session recording 510 hp before and 543 hp after calibration. Those figures describe that particular car and session, not a promised result for another setup.
SUBARU / WRX AND STI
Subaru experience since 2005.
From an EJ-powered STI to a newer FA24 WRX, the first step is understanding the complete combination: installed hardware, fuel, current calibration, mechanical condition and your goals.
EJ WRX and STI
2002–2014 WRX and 2004–2021 STI tuning, with vehicle-specific preparation and datalogging requirements.
Most custom e-tunes are $400 with eight revisions. Compatibility, scope and any additional equipment are confirmed before payment. Read the process and preparation guides.
FROM ORANGE COUNTY TO YOUR NEXT STEP
One car or a coordinated dyno day.
Already have a dyno location arranged? I can also tune your car at a customer-arranged dyno facility. Send the shop name, location, dyno type, contact details and proposed dates so we can confirm suitability, operator support and scheduling before you commit to the session. Tuning scope, facility charges and responsibilities are agreed in advance.
Whether you are in Irvine, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach or elsewhere in Orange County, send your city with the vehicle details. Remote work starts with compatibility and logging review. Road tuning requires advance coordination and vehicle handover arrangements. If you have a dyno location arranged, I can also tune there once we confirm the facility and session details. Schedule and price are confirmed for your project.
For shops, include the number of cars, ECU platforms, available dyno and technician support. I’ll help define the calibration work and preparation before a visit is booked.
Plan to leave the car with me for the day and arrange transportation. We confirm handover, collection and the intended work in advance. Extra diagnostic or mechanical work can affect the plan.
Can we start without an in-person visit?
Yes. Send the setup and goals for an initial review. Whether the tuning itself can be completed remotely depends on the vehicle, ECU, condition and required testing.
What should I send?
Your city, year and model, engine and transmission, tuning device, installed parts, current fuel and any known problems. For a vintage Porsche, include the engine specification and throttle/ECU arrangement.
Can you tune at a dyno location I arrange?
Yes. Send the facility name, location, dyno type and proposed dates. We coordinate with the shop and agree on equipment, operator support, fees and the calibration plan before booking.
How do I choose between remote tuning and a dyno session?
The car’s readiness and the work needed guide that choice. Compare the two approaches, then send me your setup.
Tell me about your Porsche or Subaru.
Include “Orange County” and your city in your inquiry, along with your car and what you want to improve. I’ll help identify the appropriate tuning path.
